I went on a little shopping trip to Walmart today. Sometimes shopping makes me happy. :-)
Anyway, I was able to snag the 5 items pictured here, plus one other jar of store-brand jelly, plus 3 anonymous items that are going to be Christmas presents, and a sandwich from the deli (I was hungry and did not want to eat fast food) .... 10 items for only $10.30! I know it's not as inexpensive as what the advanced-couponers could get for items, but it feels inexpensive to me! Would you like to know my secrets? Read on ...
First, I used the $5.00 off Olay when you buy Secret coupon from the 10-31-10 P&G coupon insert. I purchased a bottle of Olay body wash, priced at $5.00, and travel-size Secret deodorant for $.97.
Then, I used an older coupon from the 8-1-10 Smart Source coupon insert: $3.00 off of three {items}. The {items} were priced at $.97 each.
Next, I used the $1.00 off one Renuzit adjustable cone coupon. (You can find that coupon here.) The Renuzit cone was priced at $.94.
I had a $1.00 off two jars coupon to use for Smuckers jam, so I purchased those. They were $2.12 each.
I also purchased a jar of store-brand Grape Jelly, priced at $1.67.
And lastly, I purchased a sandwich from the deli ... to eat on my way up to Salt Lake. The sandwich was priced at $3.48. (I know ... a little bit steep to pay for a sandwich, but it was a healthier option than fast food, and I forgot to make something portable I could take from home.)
The total for all the items without the coupons would have been about $20.60, but I got everything for $10.30! That's half off the total!
I am still learning how to shop with coupons to get really good deals.
